Since a few folks have asked me for this... Im no food expert for dogs this is just what I do with my picky greyhounds that get lots of exercise and need calories. First picture is the chicken recipe. Second is the turkey and steak. I slightly blend so it is still chunky. I like the consistency a bit soupy to coat the kibble but not enough to be liquid to lap up. I put in about 3 spoon full of chicken mixed with a cup of Inukshuk high calorie chicken 32/32 Kibble in am. Pm 1-2 spoonfuls of steak turkey mixture with1 cup Marine high calorie Inukshuk kibble. Ingredients at end. Make sure the Chicken is a breast and turkey and steak are low fat. We get all organic and everything is boiled. Do not add spices, oils, or use fatty meat. This costs me about $50 and it lasts 2 weeks or a bit more with 3 dogs. I freeze half in zip lock bags. Compared to popular services sending you food I save about $200-$300 making it. This does not replace the kibble as it has needed vitamins. Time to fully ween. She still produces some milk. This wrap has cabbage under it. Cabbage (idk how) helps reduce milk production and prevent mastitis. I have had false pregnancy dogs and this works so good. 2 hours on 2 hours off. Its usually gone in 2 days with false pregnancy. With her nursing she doesnt have any tightness so I think weening slowly went good. This is just preventative. Hardest part is making sure they dont rip apart the cabbage. #Weening #postnursing #mama #beauty #bluedog #mygirl #zombie #cabbagepatchgreyhound
